Udaan School and Rehabilitation Centre is a School for people with Special Needs in Drugmulla, Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir. It was started by the Indian Army in 2010 and now handed over to us since September 2019.

We have taken over the School to rehabilitate these children and provide them self-sufficiency, education, improved health and a better future. Our aim is to empower them to grow to be self-reliant for their own daily activities and lead a healthy life and move towards normal life.

We are working for their physical and psychological recovery, further if possible, social reintegration of these children. At present, we have adopted this unique concept school in Drugmulla, Kupwara District. With the help of our generous donors we will extend it to other places in Kupwara, because as per survey conducted by Handicapped Association of Kashmir, there are more than 38000 disabilities in Kupwara District.

We have to train the staff in special education and develop a resource centre at Udaan, through which all the people with special needs can be connected and provided with help and assistance, so that they can have a better future.
